This advertisement is for an expression of interest (qualified sources sought) for internal and external radiation dosimetry at the U.S. Department of Energy's Pantex Plant, located 20 miles Northeast of Amarillo, Texas. Dosimetry Services provides professional health physics support to accurately monitor Pantex Plant workers for external radiation exposure and maintain a bioassay program to assess the amount of radiation dose delivered to workers as a result of radioactive materials. The Internal Dosimetry Program consists of monthly bioassay programs for tritium, thorium, uranium, and plutonium. The External Dosimetry Program processes whole-body beta/gamma/neutron dosimeters and extremity dosimeters on a monthly basis, for Pantex employees and visitors. The External Dosimetry Program shall be accredited in all radiation categories by the Department of Energy Laboratory Accreditation Program (DOELAP) for processing personnel dosimetry. External Dosimetry services also provides for environmental monitoring and area monitoring using dosimeters.
