WORK: Furnish all labor, equipment, material, transportation, and
supervision necessary to perform the renovation and alteration of three
floors of the U. S. Customs House located in Denver, CO. The renovation
and alteration will consist of electrical and mechanical upgrades,
installation of fire suppression and detection systems, elevator
installation, interior architectural renovation and asbestos removal.
The exterior renovation work associated with this project will consist
of window replacement and exterior cleaning and pointing. Estimated
cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The acquisition is
conducted utilizing two-step advertising procedures. Step one requires
the offeror to submit a technical proposal, without pricing. The
Government will evaluate and, if necessary, discuss the technical
proposal with the offeror to determine the acceptability of the
services offered. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which
shall be considered by the agency. Step two involves the submission of
bids by only those firms who submit acceptable technical proposals
under step one. Presolicitation notice will be issued o/a 11/13/95.
Request for Technical Proposal will be issued o/a 12/11/95, with
responses due o/a 01/26/96. This procurement is 100% set-aside for
small business. Bonding will be required for this project. All requests
