28 -- REPAIR/OVERHAUL AIRCRAFT ENGINES AND EQUIPMENT POC Jane C. Beam tel: 202/358-0405 This is a revised notice of a NASA Announcement published in the CBD on June 5, 1995. NASA intends to issue a Request for Offer (RFO) with model contract for the repair/overhaul and rental (as required) of aircraft engines and accessory equipment which includes the Rolls-Royce Dart Engine, Model MK 529-8X/8Z, inclusive of the required Quick Engine Change (QEC) items; Rolls-Royce Dart Engine, Model MK 529-7E, inclusive of the required QEC items, Dowty Rotol Propeller Models R 184/4-30-4/50 and R 193/4-30-4/50; Dowty Rotol Gear Box PTG 14/30 and PTG 14/31, PTG/9/9A as required for use on Government-owned Gulfstream G-159 and Foker F-27 aircraft, respectively; and repair/overhaul of the Pratt and Whitney PT6A-42 engine and the Hartzell Propeller, Model HC-B3TN-3 as required for use on Government-owned Beechcraft King Air B200 and T-38 aircraft. Additionally, the Rolls Royce RB-211 turbo-fan engine and engine accessories as installed on Boeing 757 aircraft. All maintenance, inspections, repairs and modifications shall be performed in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 43 utilizing current Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) specifications, recommendations and repair instructions. The Government reserves the right to award multiple contracts. The anticipated period of performance is one basic year with four additional one-year priced options. The anticipated subcontracting goals for this procurement are eight percent of contract value for small disadvantaged businesses and fifteen percent of contract value for small (nondisadvantaged) businesses. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA Mid-Range Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy on April 16, 1993.
