The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue orders on multiple occasions over the period of Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-96-G-5210 with Kollmorgen Corporation, Electro-Optical Division, 347 King Street, Northampton, MA 01060-2390. Orders will be issued for repair (including emergency repair), alteration, overhaul, refurbishment and maintenance of the MK 46 Optical Sight (OS) System, including all materials and services incidental to such work. In appropriate cases, any repair, alteration or overhaul may be handled by issuance of an Order to cover opening and inspection of equipment by the Contractor to determine the extent of repair, alteration or overhaul work which the Contractor may be required to provide. Orders will be issued pursuant to U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). Kollomorgen Corporation is the orginial designer, developer and sole producer of the MK 46 OS System. It is the only company which possess the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment necessary to support this effort. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
