This is a market survey/sources sought synopsis for a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 11. The Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center is seeking potential sources for engines in the 2 to 200 horsepower range which will start and operate on such kerosine-based turbine fuels as JP-5, JP-8 or on DF-2 diesel fuel. Engines rated below ten horsepower must be adaptable to such man-portable equipment as power saws, compressors or small generators. The engines rated above ten horsepower must be adaptable to such equipment as outboard motors, motorcycles or light-weight, four-wheeled vehicles. Company brochures, catalogues, technical bulletins, photographs/video, test reports, and any other available data associated with the performance of these engines in addition to cost and availability is desired. Cost and availability of operator/maintenance manuals, parts, parts manuals and requirements for any special tools for repair and maintenance is also desired. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.
