This is a market survey/sources sought synopsis for a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 11. The Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center is seeking potential sources for outboard engines in the 15 to 200 hoursepower range which will start and operate on such kerosine-based turbine fuels as JP-5, JP-8 or DF-2 diesel fuel. All engines rated 50 horsepower or smaller must weight less than 182 pounds. Engines rated 30 horsepower must have on overall height less than or equal to 50 inches and an overall width/thickness less than or equal 28 inches. Company brochures, catalogues, technical bulletins, photographs/video, test reports, and any other available data associated with the performance of these engines in addition to cost and availability is desired. Cost and availability of operator/maintenance manuals, parts manuals and requirements for any special tools for repair and maintenance is also desired.
