This is a market srvey/sources sought synopsis for a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 11. The Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center is seeking potential sources for Motorcycle engines in the 15 to 30 horsepower range which will start and operate on such kerosine-based fuels as JP-5, JP-8 or on DF-2 diesel fuel. Engine performance must be comparable to current, commerical gasoline-powered motorcycle engines of similar horsepower rating, Company brochures, catalogues, technical bulletins, photographs/video, test reports, and any other available data associated with the performance of these engines in addition to cost and availability is desired. Cost and availability of operator/maintenance manuals, parts, parts manuals and requirements for any special tools for repair and maintenance is also desired. This is not a Request of Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issuse a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.
