The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with Digital Equipment Corporation, Greenbelt, Maryland for a Alpha Server 2100 System. The system consists of the following hardware: One (1) each of the following: Alpha Server 2100, 512 MB Memory, 1 GB RX28 Disk, #DY-26201-G2; DSSI (KFESA) HSD05 Cable, #BC29S-09; HSD05-HSD05 Cable, #BC29U-02; EISA Based FDDI Adapter (SAS), #DEFEA-AA; FDDI Card for GIGA Switch, #DEFGL-AA; TP to AUI Adapter, #DETPM-AA; DSSI VMS Cluster Trouble Shooting Guide, #EK-D4AXP-TS; DSSI VMS Cluster Install Guide, #EK-410AB-MG; 2100 Server Install and Trouble Shooting CD, #EY-M915E-CD; EISA Based DSSI Controller, #KFESA-AA; 512MB Memory Module, #MS451-CA; 20 GB DLT Drive - 5.25'' Carrier, #TZ87-VA; and 17'' Color Monitor System, #VRT17-PA. Two (2) each of the following: RM Storage Works Shelf, #2T-BA350-SF; SPIMS for GIGA Switch Card (SAS), #DEFXS-AA; DSSI-SCSI Shelf Controller (one (1) per shelf), #HSD05-AA. The software consists of the following: One (1) each of the following: NAS200-300 Upgrade VMS Cluster, DQS POSIX, #QL-298AG-AA; Open VMS AXP 32 User Interactive License, #QL-MT3A9-BG; DXML Development License (Departmental), #QL-MUVAG-AA; and FMS Runtime License (Departmental), #QL-MVTAG-AA. Two (2) each of the following: Polycenter Console Manager Concurrent Node License, #QL-V01AA-8B; and VXT License, #QL-XNGA9-AA. The system shall be provided with all standard commercial documentation, documentation showing the integration of the components, installation, user manuals, maintenance manuals, software manuals, and warranty. Delivery shall be made to the Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia. Delivery shall be made within 90 days from date of award. The specific make and model equipment identified above are required in order to meet compatibility requirements. Solicitation N00178-96-R-4021 will be issued on or about 27 November 1995.
