A -- INTERIM VEHICLE MOUNTED MINE DETECTOR SYSTEM SOL DAAB12-95-R-0005 DUE 053095 POC Contact Point, Patricia Davis, (703)704-2161, Contracting Officer, Peggy Melanson, (703)704-2168 It is the intent of the USACECOM, C4IEW Acquisition Center, Ground Support Branch to purchase a NONDEVELOPMENTAL mine detection subsystem or subsystems (consisting of a vehicle mounted metallic mine detector, operator interface, mounting requirements, and maintenance support), a survivable platform (consisting of the vehicular platform, associated control hardware, operator control, detector integration fittings, assembly, transportation), integration of the mine detection subsystem and survivable platform into a NONDEVELOPMENTAL Interim Vehicle Mounted Mine Detector System (IVMMDS) for test purposes, contractor support of Government testing for mine detection subsystem and the system as a whole. The purchase is to be made under the auspices of other than full and open competition from SAIC in partnership with Schiebel of Austria and Alvis of Great Britian. The acquisition will be purchased through Nunn Amendment appropriations and in accordance with Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(b), the authority for other than full and open competition cited at FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) may be used for acquisition of test articles and associatd support services from a designated foreign source under the Department of Defense Foreign Comparative Testing Program.
