Chism, (907)586-7903, Additional Contact, Eric Meyer, (907)586-8880 The USDA Forest Service, Alaska Region requires approximately two turbine helicopters for each of the three Areas of the Tongass National Forest. Helicopter must be capable of hovering in ground effect (HIGE) at 4000 pressure altitude and 25 degrees C with a nonjettisonable payload of 675 pounds as determined by the Standard Interagency Load Method using actual pilot weight and fuel for one hour/30 minutes. Multiple awards are anticipated from this solicitation. Exclusive use is expected during the availability period of approximately April 1 through September 30. Contract period will be for one year with option to renew for an additional two years. Evaluation factors for award will include personnel, equipment, facilities, maintenance, past performance, safety record, and prices.
