Y -- PAINT TRANSFORMERS AND SWITCHYARD EQUIPMENT, GARRISON DAM, NORTH DAKOTA SOL DACW45-96-B-0018 DUE 010996 POC Contact Contracting Division at: (402)221-4266. The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Repainting of 5 unit transformers banks (with three single phase transformers), Nine (9) 115 KV and twelve (12) switchyard oil circuit breakers, autotransformer and other miscellaneous switchyard equipment. Removal of red-lead based primer paint on transformers and switchyard equipment and PCB contaminated paint on oil circuit breakers. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a December 8, 1995. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
