Construct an underground sewer pumping station and repave areas affected by the construction activities. Work also includes installing underground power and communication lines within the water system trench along the above corridor. The Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center is located at the base of the Mendenhall Valley approximately 11 miles from downtown Juneau and can be reached by road. Glacier Spur Road is approximately 1.1 miles in length from the Forest Boundary to the Visitor Center. It is anticipated that the solicitation documents will be issued on or about December 12, 1995. There is a tentative prebid meeting scheduled. The date, time and location of meeting will be stated in the solicitation. Funds are not currently available, but are anticipated to be upon passage of an Interior and related agencies budget. Contract time 180 days. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
