Bechtel Hanford, Inc., the Environmental Restoration Contractor (ERC)
at the U.S. Department of Energy's Hanford Site, is soliciting
expressions of interest from experienced and qualified firms to
remediate waste site(s) containing radionuclide and/or chemical
contaminants. The waste sites remedial actions will be performed under
the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Liability, and Recovery Act
(CERCLA). Remedial actions include, but are not limited to, the
excavation and disposal of large volumes (approximately 100,000-300,000
cubic yards per year) of contaminated soils from waste site(s) within
the 100 Area of the Hanford Site located approximately 45 miles north
of Richland, WA. Subcontractor may be required to work at multiple
sites simultaneously providing all labor, supervision, facilities,
equipment and tools, technical and professional services, materials,
supplies and all other activities and articles necessary. Soils and
underlying abandoned pipework within excavation area will be exhumed
using conventional excavation methods, analyzed for contaminant makeup
and concentrations (ERC activity), packaged, handled and loaded for
transportation according to Washington Department of Transportation
(WDOT) requirements, and transported to a designated disposal facility.
Waste transportation may or may not be within the scope of the selected
remedial action subcontractor. Disposal will be the responsibility of
the Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility (ERDF) Operator at the
Hanford Site. The overall duration of this project will be up to three
years. Options will be exercised based on performance and funding
availability. The estimated value of this requirement is between
$5,000,000 and $10,000,000 annually. Send expressions of interest to

will determine the qualified offerors to be issued a solicitation for
