Z -- SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION BASE ENGINEERING REQUIREMENTS (SABER) SOL F25600-96-R0001 DUE 012696 POC Brian E. Pitchanau, Contracting Officer, (402)294-7841. This procurement is for the follow-on Simplified Acquisition Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) for Offutt AFB, NE. This proposal is not limited and is offered for full and open competition. The proposed contract will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity requirements, firm fixed price contract. It will list a wide variety of individual construction tasks. The performance period will be approximately mid April 1996 for one basic year with four, one year options. The resultant contract will provide a broad range of maintenance, repair, and minor construction work on real property at Offutt AFB and associated sites in Nebraska. During the contract period, 55CSG/DE will identify construction tasks required to complete each specific job and the contracting office will issue indivdual delivery orders to the contractor to accomplish those jobs. The contractor will be required to maintain a management office within the immediate local area of Offutt AFB in order to receive work requests ad provide other mangement services related to accomplishing individual jobs. Individual jobs will vary in size with the majority expected to be of a small to medium size ($20,000.00 to $100,000.00 range). The jobs will include a variety of trades. An example of some of these trades are carpentry, road repair, roofing, excavation, steam fitting, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, demolition, concrete masonry, welding, asbestos abatement, PCB handling, hazardous and environmental material handling. The guaranteed contract minimum is $100,000.00 with a proposed maximum of $40,000,000.00 over a five year period. The average value of SABER delivery orders under the current contract have reached $200,000.00. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this procurement is 1542.
