Scope of work: Replace building heating steam boilers with new efficient hot water boilers. Revise piping, heating pumps, controls, and electrical service as required. Abate asbestos and lead-based paint on piping and equipment which is to be demolished. Provide new steam boiler to serve the building's snow melt system and heating/ventilating unit no. 1. revise steam condensate return piping as required. Recondition existing steam humidification boiler, air handler steam humidifiers, and associated steam traps. Recondition the water softener and the chemical feed system which serve the existing steam humidification boiler. OPTIONS AS FOLLOWS: The intent of the bid options is to replace the specified items in the event that repair be reconditioning is not viable. Option No. 1: Replace existing steam humidification boiler and accessories; Option No. 2: Replace existing water softener system and accessories (which serve the steam humidification boiler); Option No. 3: Replace existing listed steam humidifiers and accessories; Option No. 4: Replace existing steam traps located in the low pressure steam humidification system.
