The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition from Acroamatics, Inc., 70 S. Kellogg Ave, Goleta ca 93117-3476: Telemetry Data Processor (TDP) for the Test Instrumentation Management System (TIMS) Operations Office for use at Edwards AFB. TDP hardware includes Pulse code Module (PCM) decommutation units and related parts/cards. The TDP must provide an internal simulator; allow individual parameter characteristics definition (MSB, length, data type, etc.); provide highspeed processing algorithms; ADC inputs; and DAC outputs; handle multiple asychronous/embedded PCM streams; provide local and remote (hose) setup and control; meet stringent power consumption and size limitations; and be supported by user friendly software setup tools written in ''C'' for porting to and integration with existing TIMS system, Data General host processors. Acroamatics was selected as the source for this procurement because Acroamatics is the only vendor with the necessary knowledge to provide the required software and hardware effectively and efficiently to the government. The procedure to be used in awarding this contract is written request for quotation IAW Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date is 6 December 1995.
