The Virginia Contracting Activity of Defense Intelligence Agency intends to issue a solicitation to procure three monochrome, 4000 pixel by 4000 pixel, 8 bit digitizing cameras, with all associated software, computer interface hardware, and optical system components. The digitizing cameras will be attached to GFE Gordon Instruments transmissive/reflective copy stands (via the digitizer adaptor for an MP-4 stanchion), and hosted on a GFE Sun Sparc 20 computer running Solaris 2.4. The optical system will include a shuttering mechanism (if none is provided in the camera), all spacers, bellows, and lenses to cover an 8X magnification range (for an effective digitizer pixel size range of 4 to 32 microns). The digitizers will be used to produce softcopy imagery from continuous tone photographic film (both positive and negative having a density range .2 to 2.0).
