Office of Management and Budget's plan to consolidate data center
operations governmentwide (OMB Bulletin 96-02) FEDCAC/FEDSIM plans to
acquire commercial data processing services, primarily for the federal
government's civilian agencies. A firm-fixed-price, fixed-price with
economic price adjustment for labor intensive items,
indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contract is anticipated.
A multiple award, ten year total contract life with the last task
issued no later than two years before the end of the performance is
planned. The Government may either re-negotiate or re-compete tasks at
three year intervals following initial task award. An RFI is planned
to be issued on or about November 30, 1995. A questionnaire soliciting
your comments will be provided with the RFI. Vendors will have until
January 15, 1996 to respond to the questionnaire. The Government will
not formally respond to vendor comments or questions but may consider
incorporating comments into revisions to the specification. Qualified
firms are required to submit written request to the contracting officer
to be placed on the source list. Sources responding to this notice
shall indicate whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged or
woman-owned business. For this synopsis a business concern is
considered small if the number of employees does not exceed 1,000. The
Government will not distribute printed copies of the RFI. The RFI will
be made available to industry through the Hanscom Electronic RFP
Bulletin Board (HERBB). The HERBB can be accessed through a computer
modem, 24 hours per day, by calling 617/274-0500. Use the standard
settings of N-8-1 at any baud from 300 to 28.8 (v.34). Help for the
HERBB is also available by calling Kristine Levine at 617/860-7122 of
