Subject: Market Survey for Improved Mobile Subscriber Equipment (IMSE) Line-of-Sight (LOS) Radios. The Project Manager, Joint Tactical Area Commmunications Systems seeks source, availablility, and estimated cost information regarding technical solutions for LOS radios operating in frequency ranges 225-400 MHz and 1350-1850 MHz. Changes to associated antennas, antenna masts, and ancillary equipment will also be considered. Radios would be procured for the purpose of meeting potential IMSE requirements. IMSE will consist of US Army Mobile Subscirber Equipment (MSE) augmented by proven enhancements to current system components. The current MSE configuration utilizes the AN/GRC-226 radio to connect the backbone and user access switches by radio link. Responses must also indiciate whether the equipment or a variant is in current use by a foreign military organization or foreign government.
