Officer, 205-876-2644, Synopsis Number R254-95. The U.S. Army Missile
Command, Research, Development and Engineering Center has a requirement
for a cryogenic pump system capable of pumping liquid nitrogen at 5200
psi. Pump system shall consist of two idential pumps each capable of
producing a 5200 PSIG discharge pressure. Flow rate for each pump shall
be 2 to 3 GPM. The pump shall consist of a single skid constructed of
metal with a protective finish for 100 percent outdoor service. Both
pumps shall be securely mounted on the skid, along with all intersystem
pumbing and controls. Skid is to be totally self contained requiring
only one liquid supply, one vapor phase return, one high pressure
outlet line and one electrical service entry. The overall dimension
shall not exceed eight feet wide X eight feet long X six feet high. The
pump system shall be capable of working pressure of not less than 5200
PSIG. Pumps shall be equipped with a cold end vacuum insulated sump
with superinsulation to minimize radiation heat leak. Delivery 90 days
