The Federal Aviation Administration(FAA), FAA Technical Center intends on entering into a sole source contract with CPAD Technologies Inc. for an Explosive Detection Screening System General Purpose Scanner II. The Office of FAA Aviation Security Research and Development has a mandate to perform laboratory and airport evaluation tests on trace detection systems that could potentially be used to screen electronics and carry-on baggage at airports.
