The Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking information on the availability of waterproof bags for use in small boat and surface swimmer operations. The bags will operate as a system to keep equipment dry, yet operable and transportable during Over The Horizon boat insertion and extraction, to include use during surface swimmer operations. The proposed system should include, but is not restricted to, (1) a small bag for radios and mission essential equipment that allows for easy identification and operations of such equipment without breaking the waterproof seal, (2) a medium sized bag to serve as a rucksack liner that will fit inside of all current inventory carrying systems, (3) a large bag to serve as a rucksack cover, that is capable of being transported easily on land, and provides attachment points and adequate floatation to the rucksack, and (4) a weapons case that provides attachment points and adequate floatation to the weapon. Information that is obtained will be used to prepare specifications for Invitation for Bids or Request for Proposals to potentially provide equipment. Companies that are interested are requested to submit (as a minimum) the following data: A general description of the articles, to include material type, dimensions, and method of construction, Cost estimates, and Delivery Schedules. At the respondent's risk, a sample of the product can be submitted, in addition to the written information requested.
