The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office, Dallas, Texas plans to issue solicitation RFP 276-1054 on or about December 15, 1995 to furnish clinical laboratory testing services, to include the necessary personnel, material, equipment, and facilities, for Federal institutions located in the South Central Region. The contractor's laboratory shall be licensed as a high complexity clinical laboratory specified in the current Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act, as amended (CLIA '88). Each laboratory facility must be accredited by a CLIA recognized accrediting organization. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed requirements type contract with a base year from date of award through twelve (12) months with the possibility of four (4) one (1) year option periods. The number of tests for a twelve (12) month contract period is approximately 50,000. Proposals will be due on or about January 15, 1996.
