H -- FABRICATION OF SRM 484G SOL 52SBNB6C9028 POC Marsha Rodgers (301) 975-6337 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with M.E. Taylor Engineering, Incorporated, Brookeville, Maryland, for work required to complete fabrication of 150 units of Standard Reference Material 484g. Work shall include preparation, cleaning and polishing specimens using a specially developed cleaning procedure, inspection using a Scanning Electron Microscope, enlargement of Koop indentation, taking SEM micrograph for verification, checking serial numbers, and labeling units, and packaging. -- FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, Maryland-- Required Delivery Time 10 weeks--This is a sole source requirement because M.E. Taylor Engineering participated in the preparation of the plates from which SRM 484g specimens were made and has developed a special cleaning process for these specimens and has patented the procedure under U.S. Patent 4,139,933.
