The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment and transportation necessary to remove, prepare and process for disposal and dispose of wharf builders' debris. Wharf builders' debris may include wood piling, dock timbers and associated lumbers, hardware, and waste material. Dock timbers includes such items as 12'' x 12'' wales and 8'' x 12'' chocks. Wood piling and dock timbers and lumbers are treated with creosote or copper chromium arsenate preservatives. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. Therefore, there is no information on prior contracts. The contract will be for a base period of 12 months plus four option years. If the government cannot award a follow-on contract in time, the government has the option to extend performance of this contract up to six months.
