Contracting Officer Project generally consists of, but is not limited
to, the following: Demolishing of walls, doors, ceiling tiles/grids,
removal of carpeting, cabinetry, interior windows, systems furniture,
light fixtures, smoke detectors, and the relocation of HVAC grilles.
Install new doors, ceiling tiles/grids, counter tops carpeting, gypsum
Boards wall. Install 12' wide window-north wall of building. Demolish
existing condensing unit, install new heat pump, remove/install
selected HVAC ductwork, demolish HALON alarm system/piping, nozzles,
reconfigure zoning of fire alarm system, remove/relocate activation
kits in existing Walker underfloor duct system. Demolish asphalt
pavement, concrete curb/gutter, concrete sidewalk. Remove cedar and
chain link fencing, install new chain link fencing with auto sliding
gate, handicapped ramp with handrails, extend sidewalk/parking lot, and
relocate parking lot lights. The price range of this project is between
$100,000 and $250,000. The SIC code is 1542. This procurement is open
to both large and small businesses. All responsible sources may submit

Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding ssistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to surety against losses.
Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
