15 -- MODIFICATION PROGRAM FOR AH-64A HELICOPTERS TO AH-64D LONGBOW APACHE CONFIGURATION POC Point of contact is Carolyn Clark, Contract Specialist, (618)452-4551 or Constance Pippins, Contracting Officer, (618)452-4561. ATCOM proposes to award multiyear contract for the modification program of 232 each AH-64A aircraft to the AH-64D Longbow Apache configuration. Except for the premodification effort, the multiyear contract will be for five years (FY 1996 - FY 2000). The anticipated quantities are 24 each, FY 96, 36 each FY 97, 4 each, FY 98, 60 each FY 99 and 72 each FY 2000. A Technical Data Package is not available and ATCOM anticipates award to MDHS on a sole source basis. The Government's need can only be met by the unique expertise and services available from MDHS, Mesa, Arizona. The Government will consider competing the premodification effort after the 3D production year. An economic analysis will be performed during the first two production years to determine the feasibility of a competition. The Government will include priced options in the multiyear contract for the premodification effort for the fourth and fifth years of the contract. See Numbered Note(s): 22. (0334)
