When assembled, will form a sectionalized barge which can be field-assembled while floating. Individual pontoon sections are limited to a maximum weight of 20 short tons maximum. Capability to lower the six pontoon sections into the water and assemble into a barge and be secured while floating in the water. The assembled barge shall have flat metal surface to allow installation of government-owned propulsion unit. Sectionalized deck cargo barges are intended for harbor transportation of 20 and 40 foot International Standards Organization (ISO) containers, general cargo, vehicles, and similar material. Individual pontoon sections shall not exceed twenty (20) short tons and barge will be capable of being connected and disconnected with Navy ECLAS type connectors while floating in the water. The Standard Industrial Code for this acquisition is 3732 with a small business size of 500 employees. The acquisition is open to all responsible bidders.
