COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF DECEMBER 4,1995 PSA#1482Commander, MARCORSYSCOM, Code CTQ, 2033 Barnett Ave, Suite 315,
Quantico, VA 22134- 38 -- MECHANICAL MINEFIELD CLEARANCE DEVICES POC Contact, Cynthia
Robertson, (703) 784-5822, ext 237. The Marine Corps Systems Command is
seeking information concerning nondevelopmental mechanical minefield
clearing devices that destroy or neutralize land mines. The devices
should be capable of clearing vehicular lanes that are 5 meters or
greater in width and a minimum of 50 meters in length. Particular
emphasis is for lane clearing systems that may possess the potential
for expanding a single 5 meter by 50 meter lane into a minimum 50 meter
by 50 meter cleared area by making and/or connecting successive passes.
The system should be able to operate and clear minefields on beaches in
support of Marine amphibious operations and during subsequent
operations inland. The capability to deal with beach obstacles is also
desirable. Interested sources should submit descriptive, technical,
and test data regarding their systems at no cost or obligation to the
Government. Written responses should be submitted no later than 27 DEC
1995. Information obtained may be used for subsequent invitations for
bid or requests for proposals. The submission of this product
information should not be construed as a commitment to procure
equipment. Questions and responses should be directed to the contact
person listed above at Commander, Attn: CTQ-CR, MARCORSYSCOM, 2033
