286-2028. This is a notice of intent to issue NASA Research
Announcement (NRA) 95-CGRO-06 on or about December 15, 1995. NRA
95-CGRO-06 solicits basic research proposals for participation in the
NASA program to analyze scientific data during Cycle 6 observations and
to conduct correlative and theoretical research closely tied to Comptom
GRO observations. Cycle 6 of the Compton GRO mission begins on October
15, 1996, and will last approximately one year. Compton GRO provides
sensitive, comprehensive, and coordinated observations covering a broad
spectrum of astronomical gamma rays, from 30 keV to 30 GeV.
Participation in this program is open to all categories of
organizations, domestic and foreign, including educational
institutions, profit and non-profit organizations, NASA Centers, and
other Government agencies. For detailed information on this program and
