SIC 8999 The National Park Service (NPS), Buffalo National River (BUFF), is issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for the inventory and delineation of an area of interbasin transfer within a karst terrain. Perspective bidders must supply the National Park Service with a proposal detailing how the inventory and delineation will be accomplished. This project should provide detailed information concerning the location of karst features (such as sinkholes, caves, solution conduits and springs) and map groundwater recharge basins to allow development of an accurate hydrogeologic picture. The study area lies within the southern portion of Boone County and the northern portion of Newton County, Arkansas. The project will be divided over two years. Each years work will be dependent on availability of funding. Quotes will be evaluated by the below technical criteria. TECHNICAL EVALUATION CRITERIA: A. Recent groundwater tracing and recharge delineation experience, 1. Responsiveness of proposed work to hydrologic and karst data gathering needs as stated in the Scope of Work. 2. Evidence of knowledge required to carry out work, especially knowledge relating to karst ground water processes in the Ozark Plateaus Province. 3. Demonstrated awareness of National Park Service needs with regard to the proposed work based on information presented in the Scope of Work. B. Professional Experience. 1. Professional qualifications - Include a Curriculum and professional Vitae for contractor and associates. 2. Proven record of professional performance for similar work - List previous contracts, studies, and publications on related work and topics. 3. Ability to work with the public and conduct needed field investigations and tracings on both private and public lands. C. Responsiveness to time frames. 1. Adequacy of projected work schedule. 2. Evidence of previous timely task completion. D. Budget. Request for Quotation will be issued on or about December 26, 1995 with quotations due about January 26, 1996.
