Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Cost Reimbursement contract will be
awarded under this solicitation. Contract will have a basic performance
period of one year with 2 one-year options. Performance is expected to
begin during FY 96 and continue thru FY 98. There is no limit on the
number of delivery orders or annual expenditures; total during the base
and option years will not exceed $20 million. Guaranteed minimum amount
for base year is $400,000 and for any options exercised by the
Government there will be a guaranteed minimum amount of $200,000.
Proposals will be competitively negotiated. The area of operation will
be the states of TN, KY, OH, IN, IL, MI, WV and poritons of PA and NY.
Work may encompass remediation projects associated with all programs
managed within the Ohio River Division including HTRW, Civil Works,
Military Construction and Work for Others. The successful contractor
shall be able to demonstrate the ability to execute delivery orders
related primarily to the field of construction and remediation of
hazardous and toxic waste sites under the control of the Federal
Government or which the Federal Government is the proprietor or
potentially responsible party. Work may be on the Superfund National
Priority List sheet, military installations, other Government property
and various other locations. The contractor may also be asked to offer
environmental support where the Nashville District, or the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers may otherwise be authorized to respond. The type of
work (SIC Code 8744 and SIC Code 1629) to be done could include, but
is not limited to: sampling and analyzing the contents of a variety of
tanks, drums and transformers; removing tanks, drums, transformers and
their contents; disposal of tanks, drums and transformers; emergency
spill response; disposal or treatment of waste and contaminated soil;
erection of containment structures or other facilities incidental to
the work; sampling and testing of water and soil samples; installing
monitoring wells; well abandonment; constructing caps, slurry walls and
grout curtains; removing unsafe buildings or portions of buildings, wit
and without asbestos; installing soil venting systems, groundwater
treatment systems, and thermal extraction systems; incinerating a
variety of types of contaminated materials; removing, treating and
disposing of wastes from ordnance, explosives and/or radiation;
ordnance identification and avoidance; installing new tanks and new
water supply systems; short term operation and maintenance of
facilities, and the planning of work efforts required; preparing
completion reports and as-built drawings, etc. Evaluation and award of
this solicitation will be based on evaluation criteria extablished in
the Solicitation. The Request for Proposal will be issued o/a 18
December 1995 at a cost of $25.00 per set. Make checks payable to ''FAO
