This work includes all labor, supervision, materials and equipment to complete repairs and renovations to Bachelor's Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) #3 (Building 377), Part A, and BEQ #8 (Building 380), Part B, 1. PART A, BEQ #3 - the work includes the repairing of the existing building to accommodate 34-man living units by replacing existing walls, windows, window coverings, laundry spaces, domestic water/plumbing system, heating and ventilation system, installing lowered ceilings, common kitchen units, two walk in closets per room, exterior breezeway with bicycle rack, fire protection system, television, phone and local area network (LAN) wiring, repairing electrical distribution system, painting interior and exterior, providing landscaping and incidental work 2. PART B. BEQ #8 - the work includes upgrading water service lines, removing existing bathrooms, installing new bathrooms with shower for each unit, lower ceilings, window coverings, new kitchen ceilings, walk-in closets, fire protection system, wind-break screen wall, repairing damaged surface materials and cracks, walls/doors, heating and ventilation system, electrical system, plumbing, laundry areas, remodel reception area and duty office, adding automatic opening door at entry, postal box for each unit, trash and recycle chutes, new shear walls and pilings/footings plus miscellaneous structural improvements to resist seismic lateral loads, patch roofing, replacing wall/floor coverings, windows, locks, intercom system, constructing additional laundry areas, new walls and doors, painting interior and exterior, relocating heating controls, providing selective landscaping, a new breezeway/bicycle shelter with bicycle racks and lighting and incidental related work. Source selection procedures will be used. Offerors will be required to submit technical and price Proposals. The evaluation factors are: key personnel, management plan for replacing key personnel, past performance, environmental controls, scheduling, coordination of achitectural finishes, and subcontracting, and price. During performance of this work, asbestos, hazardous waste, or pollution abatement may be encountered. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 8 January 1996 at no charge until supply is exhausted. Contract completion time is 365 calendar days for Part A and 720 calendar days for Part B with the projects running concurrently. Estimated cost range more than $10,000,000 .
