Z -- MODIFICATIONS TO OPF3 FOR SSME PROCESSING SOL IFB 10-95-0070 DUE 012696 POC Denise Bressler, Contract Specialist, OP-ESO-A, 407-867-7230 Doris Roberson, Contracting Officer. This work is to consists of all the labor, materials and equipment to construct a two-story, 25,000 square foot facility adjacent to an existing facility to process Space Shuttle Main Engines. The structure is constructed on Portland Cement Concrete spread footings. The built-up roof is supported by steel decking, steel joints and joist girders. The exterior walls are insulated metal siding on steel girts and columns. Concrete masonry unit walls, hollow core floors and concrete on steel deck construction is required in the interior. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, high pressure gas lines, power, communications and lighting are also included. The extension of existing fiber optic and copper cabling in this new facility is required. Miscellaneous items include fabrication of new steel support for the SSMEs and the refurbishment of existing steel support rings pads. Facility interfaces with and coordination of work for cranes (10-ton and 15 ton) within the building shall be required. Crane procurement and installation will not be in this contract. Certain items such as stainless steel tubing and fitting for the high pressure gas lines and missile are lines shall be Government Furnished Equipment that will be provided to the contractor to implement the installation of these systems. Paving, stormwater management systems, and modifications on the adjacent side of the existing facility to accommodate the new construction if also included. Extending existing utilities such as power, sewage, potable water and chilled water from the existing facility is required. All work is to be completed 2 years after notice to proceed.
