BEDNAR (717) 895-6369 (Site Code DAAC71) The Automated Vertical Storage Unit (AVSRU) (three modules) shall be able to accommodate up to 24,000 pounds of live load. The unit shall use a vertical drive system which is capable of lifting and lowering a net weight of 200 pounds (in addition to the weight of the extract/deposit mechanism and the tray). The overall height of the AVSRU shall not be more than 21 feet, overall width not to exceed 12 feet, and overall depth not to exceed 90 inches. Each module shall accommodate a minimum of 56 storage trays, with nominal inside dimensions of storage trays being 36 inches wide, by 26 inches deep, by 3 inches high. The net weight of the AVSRU shall not exceed 7,000 pounds. A computer control system shall be provided. Software which provides performance as set forth in the solicitation shall be provided. Two sets of parts and maintenance manuals shall be provided. Delivery of the unit must be within 90 days of award; with installation provided by the contractor within 10 days of the delivery of the unit. A demonstration of the unit shall be provided by the contractor after installation to verify performance; and an additional operational demonstration of the unit shall be provided by the contractor for informal training of Government personnel. Delivery is FOB Destination, Tobyhanna Army Depot. A written Request For Proposal, DAAC71-96-R-0005, shall be issued approximately 20 DEC 95, with award anticipated approximately 30 JAN 96. Although this action is unrestricted, those requesting the solicitation are requested to provide their business size. The SIC Code for this action is 3535, with a criteria of 500 employees.
