The National Instiututes of Health, NIH intends to procure on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the following service: The National Instiute of AAA (1) LSM-270 film recorder, (1) LSM-271 camera, 35 MM Back (1) LSM-239 neon laser, (1) LSM-111 TV interface, (3) NPVW-3036-opt2 work station (1) NP21 service rail, (1) NP22 shelf, (1) NP20 6'' armrest, (3) NP50 cable mngt. system. We are now approaching a stage where additional enhancements to the system are needed to increase the performance and capabilities of the video microscope. 1.)LSM-270, LSM-271, LSM-111 are essential for image documentation, 2) The LSM-239 green helium laser is necessary to image brainsections stained with rhudamine, 3) The newport antivibration tables (NPVW-3036-OPT2, NP21, NP22. NP20, NP50) will reduce vibration and will provide the image quality needed. Since all requested items must work in conjunction with the existing laser scanning microscope.
