Attn: J. Adamo Contractor shall provide all labor, material,
equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary for additions and
renovations to the USCG Communications Station Building, Sandwich, MA
(Barnstable County). Work includes new berthing/bathroom/lounge
addition (approx. 11' x 42'), new screen room addition (approx. 15' x
21'11''), and interior renovations to existing building to include new
carpet, new carpet tiles, new vinyl composition floor tiles, new
aluminum windows, new copper screen mesh, misc. painting, new
door/jambs, patching existing Exterior Insulated Finish System (EIFS),
new EIFS, new addition light fixtures, HVAC and electrical
modifications, cut and modify transmission radial planes in ground,
membrane roof and metal facia modifications. Optional bid item for new
office, vestibule addition (approx. 10' x 25'). Estimated cost of this
project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Solicitation packages
to be available on or about December 21, 1995. There is a $20.00
non-refundable charge for the bid package which may be obtained by

procurement is unrestricted and is being issued pursuant to the Small
Business Competitiveness Demonstration program. THIS NOTICE IS FOR
INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES FOR MINORITY, WOMAN OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED
ENTERPRISES: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and
Disadvantaged Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority,
woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short
term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related
contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at
any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply
for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per
contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a
surety againstlosses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term
Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts
receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For
