part of the Ukraine project of the Cooperative Threat Reduction
Program, the Defense Nuclear Agency is seeking to acquire 13 baggage
X-Ray machines with options for an additional 3 more. These machines
will assist in the interdiction of contraband associated with
controlled technologies for use in ports of entry and exit. The
equipment shall be 220V/50Hz. Inspection systems shall be comprised of
low dose x-ray generator, solid state image processor, a conveyor
system, a power generator and electrical distribution and control
system. The inspection system must be capable of x-raying a diversity
of small to medium sized objects through utilization of backscatter,
dual energy transmission, or multi-energy transmission. The system must
also be able to pass an object of at least 21 inches wide by 32 inches
tall. The conveyor shall operate in forward and reverse. The unit must
also be equipped with wheels to allow relocation. The weight shall be
under 2000 pounds. Additional requirements include one year warranty,
spare parts kits, training/on site support, report deliverables, etc.
