NOAA intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with the Telonics Corporation for the acquisition of a satellite total ozone mapping spectrometer (TOMS) data L and S band tracking antenna system. The Telonics antenna system is believed to be the only system that can satisfy the Government's minimum needs because this system must fully interact and serve as backup with the existing HRPT antenna system.
