The government intends to procure the following requirements as a sole source acquisition from Titan Electronics, 4215 Sorrento Valley Blvd, San Diego CA 92121: A SECS 68/SCSI Controller (P/N 974165-A01)--Qty 2, a SECS 68/810 Communications Processor (P/N 974115-A03)--Qty 1, a SECS 68/810 Communications Interface (P/N 974115-A02)--Qty 1, and a SECS 68/1553B interface Card (P/N 974110A01)--Qty 1. These units must be name brand specific. Titan Electronics was selected as the source for this procurement because the existing hardware is proprietary to Titan Electronics, and the services provider must be intimately familiar with it and be able to provide quick resolution of problems involving both the hardware and the custom software. The procedure to be used in awarding this contract is written request for quote IAW Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date is 05 January 1996.
