This solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis inviting full and open competition. The work includes painting the exterior trim work on all the buildings and incidental related work. All the trim as a minimum shall be pressure washed and receive at least one (1) coat of paint. Some of the buildings will require scraping/sanding or other surface preparation followed by a primer/sealer coat and a minimum of two (2) coats of paint. When colors are to change, a minimum of two (2) coats of paint shall be required. Additional areas to be painted include exterior doors/door trim, carport, ceiling, pipe columns, gables, screen moldings. Some screen replacement will be required. The contractor shall be responsible for confirming, confining, and collecting all scraping and sanding debris from preparation of surfaces for painting using Florida Department of Environmental Protection approved methods. Existing paint has a lead content at or above 1.0 mg/cm2. There is a $40.00 (Non-refundable) fee per set of plans and specifications. Plans and specifications will be available 30 days prior to the approximate bid opening date and until supplies are exhausted.
