The work to be performed consists of providing the labor, equipment and materials necessary to clean, reline and replace sections of the Central Water Distribution System at NASA Lewis Research Center, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44135. The work consists of replacing water mains along Walcott Road. It also consists of cleaning and lining water mains along Walcott Road. The above work is in the base bid. The base bid work will commence on or about March 1, 1996 for a period of 180 calendar days. Additional work referred to as Additive item 1 will be for 30 days and this consists of additional cleaning and lining of underground water mains on Walcott Road including replacing all valves and fire hydrants along the cleaning and lining route. This procurement is unrestricted. Copies of the solicitation will be available until exhausted. The date set for opening of bids is approximate. Construction estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered.
