for the acquisition of deadbolt locks for barracks on Fort Campbell KY.
The locks should have the following characteristics; (1) Keyed lock
core, should be made by the same manufacturer as the deadbolt. Cores
shall be 7 pin interchangeable figure eight with control lugs keyed in
all barrels, keying system shall be able to support 70,000 individual
combinations under a single Grandmaster and Control Key on a single
keyway. Barrels shall be independently capped to allow ease in
rekeying. Cores and keys will require a patented restricted keyway to
ensure keys will not be duplicated at commercial outlets. Keyway will
be designated for the sole use of Fort Campbell, KY. by manufacturer.
A schematic plan and copy of all codes will be provided to include
updates and revisions. (2) Single cylinder deadbolt with concealed
screws, A156.5 Grade 1 UL listed for 3 hours with 4 keys per lock.
Concealed screw accessible only by removing face-plate with system
control key. Deadbolt shall have 1'' throw and hardened steel roller
pin; free turning solid brass or bronze tapered cylinder ring; Cylinder
shall be brass or bronze and shall accept a 7 pin interchangeable
figure eight core; 2 self-aligning 1/4'' hardened thru-bolts and a
minimum 3 year factory warranty is required. (3) Software program to
maintain lock codes with cross referencing, historical records, and pin
segment calculating capabilities. Locks are to be compatible with
installation on 1 3/8'' - 1 3/4'' doors. A master key system will be
required for each lot of cores, the control key will operate all lots
of cores. Total estimated requirement 6,000 locks. Interested sources
should respond in writing stating their interest, resources and
capability of satisfying the Governments requirement. Responses should
be submitted to the Directorate of Contracting, Building 2174, 13 1/2
Street, ATTN: Ray Cardinal, Fort Campbell, KY 42223-5358 and received
