ELECTRICAL/AVIONICS SYSTEMS ENGINEERING SUPPORT (EASES) PROGRAM POC Attn: Steven Esmond/Lbka/912-926-3661. This is a general announcement to all potential offerors regarding the current status of the Electrical/Avionics Systems Engineering Support (EASES) program. A sources sought synopsis was issued on 7 June 1995 advertising in general terms the government's requirements. On 6 October 1995, the contracting officer issued a letter to all the respondents to the sources sought synopsis which contained the government's best estimate for accomplishment of certain early milestones. The letter stated that the formal synopsis would be issued in November 1995, the Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) would be issued in December 1995, the pre-proposal conference would be held in January 1996, and the formal RFP issued in January 1996 also. Due to issues, concerns, and questions within the government that have not been resolved, the anticipated dates set forth above are no longer tenable. The EASES acquisition has been significantly delayed. The delay is such that no accurate forecast of future events can be made at this time. The EASES program has not been cancelled. When the outstanding issues are resolved, a new forecast of milestones will be announced. Your tolerance and continued interest in the EASES program are greatly appreciated.
