16 -- COMPETITION FOR COCKPIT SLIDING WINDOW KITS/H-3 AIRCRAFT POC Contact, GINGER ANN WRIGHT, Phone (703)604-1920 Naval Air Systems Command seeks sources for a competitive procurement of 15 cockpit sliding window kits for the H-3 aircraft to replace the left and right side of emergency fixed exit windows presently installed in the aircraft cockpit. Each kit shall consist of a left and right side cockpit sliding window frame and assembly, meeting the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) hardness, water integrity, emergency egress and abrasion resistant hardcoating requirements of the H-3 aircraft, without increasing the weight by more than one pound per side over the presently installed fixed window kits. The sliding window assembles shall be jettisonable, not require any aircraft modifications, and be installable at the organizational maintenance level.
