date for the NASA Research Announcement for Advanced Instrument
Concepts for a Near-Sun Flyby Mission (NRA-95-OSS-15) which was
released October 3, 1995, has been extended to January 12, 1996. The
original proposal due date was January 3, 1996. The National
Aeronautics and Space Administration is soliciting proposals that
utilize new innovative concepts and advanced technologies for the
conceptual definition and research investigation of science
instruments, groups of instruments, and complete integrated
instrumentation packages suitable for spacecraft that would fly within
a few solar radii of the Sun's surface. Participation in this program
is open to all categories of organizations including educational
institutions, industry, nonprofit institutions, NASA Centers, and other
