Stevens, tel: (202) 482-0571, fax (202) 482-0952. The U.S. Department
of Commerce invites U.S. firms to participate in two cost-effective
programs at CeBIT `96, March 14-20, 1996 in Hannover, Germany. Held for
12 consecutive years, CeBIT is the world's largest information
technologies show. CeBIT `95 featured over 6,000 exhibitors and 750,000
attendees, including over 100,000 distributors, wholesalers, VARs, and
agents from Western and Eastern Europe, Asia, North and South America,
the Middle East, and Africa. U.S. firms can take advantage of the
extraordinary opportunities at CeBIT `96 by participating in either or
both of the following U.S. Department of Commerce programs: CEO
Program: For executives that plan to attend CeBIT `96 (with or without
exhibiting), the CEO program provides an ``office away from home'' in
Hall 1 (Office Automation). The CEO program provides office space and
office services, including computer, printer, fax, phone, and copier.
In addition, a bilingual assistant is assigned to each company to help
identify possible business contacts and arrange meetings. Companies can
participate in the CEO program for 3, 4, or 7 days for a fee of
$1,900-$4,100. U.S. Computer Technologies Catalog Showcase: For
companies that are unable to attend CeBIT `96 or that wish to display
their literature in more than one location at CeBIT `96, the U.S.
Computer Technologies Catalog Showcase is a low-cost way to introduce
your product to potential distributors and end-users. Located in a
corner booth near an entrance to Hall 5 (Software), the U.S. Computer
Technologies Catalog Showcase and its staff will display your company's
product literature and provide you with customized trade leads of
companies interested in your product. Catalog Showcase participants
that attend CeBIT `96 can receive their trade leads during the show, if
desired; those that do not attend will receive their leads after the
show. The participation fee is $495. For more information, contact Mary
