Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Western-Pacific Region, has a
requirement at, Los Angeles and Burbank CA. The contractor is to
provide all necessary labor equipment and materials at the Los Angeles
International Airport and Burbank Airports, the Remote Transmitter
Towers (RTT) (4 at each site) (1) Los Angeles for (4) RTT's. Surface
preparation and painting; furnish and install antenna cable junction
box; and air terminals and supporting masts, post construction clean up
and disposal. (2) Burbank for (4) RTT's. Surface preparation and
painting; equipment building exterior metal; asphalt concrete pavement
placement; application of a slurry seal coat; furnish and install
antenna cable junction box; and air terminals and supporting masts,
post construction clean up and disposal. All work will be done in
strict accordance with FAA specifications and drawings. The estimated
price range for this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. The
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542. The Small
Business Size Standard is $17.0 million. Solicitation will be issued
approximately 30 days after the date of this publication, with a public
bid opening 30 calendar days from the date of issuance. All responsible

Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to
assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to
1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on
the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available
under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP), at pime interest
rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximun line of
