The principal components of the work to be performed under these specification include: Earthwork for pipe trenches, pumping plant and appurtenant structures; Furnishing and laying about 13.5 miles of 8-inch through 48-inch diameter line pipe; Constructing delivery installations and furnishing and installing steel pipe for delivery installations; Constructing pumping plant B2.1R, including a pre-engineered metal building and an elevated steel tank at the pumping plant site; Furnishing and installing a steel manifold at pumping plant B2.1R; Furnishing and installing metal piping, supports, and valves; Furnishing and installing traveling water screen and conveyor; Furnishing and installing line meters and insertable magnetic flowmeters; Furnishing and installing the outdoor single-ended primary and secondary unit substations, the grounding system, the electrical conduit system, insulated conductors, the 5-kV and 15-kV power cable, the 5-kV motor control equipment, the motor control center, the auxiliary control equipment, the plant distribution panelboard and transformer, the elevated steel tank terminal cabinet, the water level indicating and control systems, the communications system; and all associated materials and equipment required to complete the electrical features at pumping plant B2.1R; Furnishing and installing the pole mounted distribution transformer and distribution panelboard at the receiver building for pumping plant B3.1; Furnishing and installing fiber optic cable at Gallegos Pumping Plant; and finally, Furnishing and installing the lighting system. Schedule 1 includes Pumping Plant B2.1R and Lateral B2.1R. Schedule 2 includes Lateral B3.1G, which is approximately 10.5 miles long. FUNDING WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR SCHEDULE 2 UNTIL OCTOBER 1, 1996. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOT PERFORM ANY WORK OR ACCRUE ANY COSTS UNDER SCHEDULE 2 UNTIL GIVEN NOTICE TO PROCEED BY THE CONTRACTING OFFICER. ONLY REQUESTS IN WRIING WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR SOLICITATIONS.
