402-3353, Fax (301) 402-3406. The National Institutes of Health (NIH),
National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD),
Perinatology Research Branch, requires a Contractor to provide on-site
maintenance, inspection and emergency repair of Government-owned
Acuson Ultrasound instruments at the National Institutes of Health,
facilities in Detroit, Michigan and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The
instruments include: Item 1: Qty. 1, Serial #16593, Desc., Mainframe,
transducers and peripherals. Item 2: Qty. 1, Serial #16597, Desc.,
Mainframe, transducers and peripherals. Item 3: Qty., 1, Serial #16599,
Desc., Mainframe, transducers and peripherals. Item 4: Qty. 1, Serial
#16596, Desc., Mainframe, transducers and peripherals. Item 5: Qty. 1,
Serial #16601, Desc., Mainframe, transducers and peripherals. Any
response must be received in writing within 15 calendar days from the
published date of this notice, reference QGL60045. The Contractor shall
provide the following: 1. All necessary pesonnel, labor, special tools,
engineering upgrades, facilities, diagnostic equipment, parts,
materials and supplies to provide the required technical support and
expertise for on-site maintenance, inspection and emergency repair of
Government-owned Acuson instruments at the NIH facilities as specified
above. 2. As required, loan equipment of the same type and
manufacturer for use by the Government while the Government-own
equipment is being repaired. This shall be at no additional cost to the
Government. 3. Only genuine Acuson parts in effecting repairs.
Substitutions shall not be used. 4. Shall have an inventory of repair
parts, sufficient to allow the equipment listed above to be repaired,
no less than 95% of the time on the first call. The Contractor shall be
licensed and FDA registered for repairing and servicing the type of
equipment listed above. The Contractor shall perform all work on-site
between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local time), Monday through
Friday (excluding Government holidays). The period of performance shall
be a total of eight (8) months. Concerns that respond to this notice
shall furnish concise responses directed specifically to the
requirements mentioned above.Sources demonstrating the capability to
accomplish the above shall supply pertinent information in sufficient
detail to demonstrate their ability to perform. Written responses shall
also include complete pricing information and complete description of
the services to be provided, containing sufficient technical
information to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide
capability to meet the stated requirement as listed above. Adequate
detailed data by which to evaluate capability should be sent to Attn:
Ms. Dorothy Nickens. All responses from responsible sources will be
fully considered. Written responses are to be received by January 05,
